Entry for

GoedWare Game Jam #15

Theme: One Room

Game idea:
You come across an invitation from a training facility, they want you to test some stuff for them, are you up for it?

Results:

I tried very hard making a speedrun type game where you stay in one testing room, completing different challenges. The game is really short, I played a ton around with lighting, baking lights, dynamic lighting, which took a big chunk of my game jam time. In the end the lighting is not really what I was looking for, but I still learned some lessons from trying to implement different kinds of setups.

I also made some terrible pixel art, first time using tablet to draw.

I love the premise and theme implementation - especially how every level encompasses the same like 'ONE ROOM' and morphs into the next one. Level Design was another good thing about this entry, like how the moving blue platform was slowly introduced and such.

However Gameplay wise the character felt 'floaty' rather than precise, which would be desired in an obby game such as this. Implementing 'Coyote Time' would also really improve the Gameplay.

The Sound for me was extremely quiet, and some background music could've really elevated the experience. The Art was alright - however a Toon Shader could've improved it.

Solid job overall!
